Hilary is an Occupational Therapist with over 18 years of experience. She has a strong interest in Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Spinal Cord Injury (SCI). Hilary enjoys working with people living at home and also within supported accommodation. Hilary is committed to enabling people to maximise their independence through rehabilitation, Assistive Technology (AT) including seating and home modifications. Hilary has extensive experience working with people neurological conditions across the health continuum including acute, rehabilitation, emergency and community.

Hilary is very well-versed in NDIS and TAC, with more than 8 years working in this area with clients with neurological conditions. Hilary previously worked in a large Victorian private neurological community practice for many years. Hilary has worked at the National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC) in the Stoke Mandeville, UK and at the Victorian Spinal Cord Service (VSCS) in Australia. Hilary has previously worked in a number of roles within Austin Health and many varied neuro community roles in the UK.

Hilary is very skilled at working within multidisciplinary teams for complex clients. Hilary enjoys putting her organisational skills to work helping others to become more independent in their activities of daily living. Hilary prides herself on being very thorough, detail-focussed and is a Red SWEP/CAPE prescriber and member of OT Australia. Hilary is a very experienced supervisor of more junior clinicians and students. Hilary’s special interests include Assistive Technology including seating/wheelchairs, Complex Home Modifications, carer training, upper limb rehab and complex report writing.
