Clare Douglas

Speech Pathologist

(CPSP), MSPA, GradCert Family Therapy & BSc

Clare obtained her Masters in Speech Pathology in 2008 at Latrobe University. She specialises in acquired brain injury and neuroscience, with over a decades experience across the continuum of care. Clare was the recipient of a scholarship from the Department of Health to complete a Graduate Certificate in Family Therapy and was awarded a grant by the Victorian Coalition of ABI Service Providers for her work with families dealing with cognitive-communication disorders following acquired brain injury and stroke.

Clare currently works at the Acquired Brain Injury Unit at Caulfield Hospital as well as in private practice. She particularly loves working with clients with aphasia and those with changes to their social communication skills. She believes that supporting families to readjust to the changes that follow a brain injury is paramount to setting and achieving goals that are important to each individual. Clare believes a team approach is integral.
