Kate is a swallowing and communication specialist delivering holistic personalised care to adults, with 18+ years of experience working across acute, rehabilitation and private practice healthcare settings in clinical speech pathology. She specialises at efficiently activating and improving the health and wellness experience and access for patients, providers and caregivers. She has specialised skills in working with people who have had traumatic brain injuries, head and neck cancer, neurological conditions, complex medical & respiratory conditions and or have a tracheostomy tube. She also has specialised skills in the assessment of swallowing through Videofluoroscopy.

Kate currently works in both Private Practice though Victorian Neuro Rehabilitation Network, Hawthorn Speech Pathology and Public Practice at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, where as a Senior Speech Pathologist she works in the acute medical stream and is the Coordinator of Speech Pathology University Clinical Placements across Melbourne Health.

The strength of evidence based personalised patient centered care is one of the most powerful strategies to achieving positive health outcomes.  She believes every patient matters and each patient is unique.
